What is Etching?
Unlike traditional stamping or CNC machining, the bipolar plates at Xinhaisen are manufactured using photochemical etching (also known as chemical milling).
This process involves:

Material Preparation: Selecting high-grade metal coils (Stainless steel, Titanium, etc.).

Lamination: Applying a UV-sensitive photoresist to the metal surface.

Exposure: Using a photographic tool to transfer the flow field pattern onto the resist.

Development: Washing away the unexposed resist to reveal the metal underneath.

Etching: Spraying chemical solutions onto the metal to dissolve the exposed areas, creating precise channels and grooves.

Stripping: Removing the remaining resist to reveal the finished bipolar plate.
